Local Partnerships & Community Events

Mentorship. Advocacy. Education. Community. Here's how Red Oak Animal Hospital shows up beyond the clinic.

A tall, vertical shape with straight sides and semicircular ends, resembling a capsule or pill, outlined in black on a white background—ideal for signage at a pet clinic or veterinarian's office. The image is a solid light gray background with no visible objects, text, or people—ideal for use in Animal Hospital or Vet settings seeking a neutral backdrop. Three smiling women hold baby goats indoors. The women wear casual work clothes, including vests and polos, with stethoscopes around their necks. The background features wooden walls, paintings, and farm equipment.

Being a neighbor means more than treating pets in our exam rooms. From official partnerships to seasonal celebrations, here’s how Red Oak shows up across Bucyrus, Spring Hill, Olathe, and the surrounding communities.

2026 Spring Fling Weenie Dog Race

Did you catch us at the Spring Fling Weenie Dog Race in April? We had a blast cheering on the competitors at the Red Oak Animal Hospital Spring Fling Weenie Dog Race! As a locally owned practice, we love supporting events that celebrate the unique bond (and the hilarious speed) of our small animal community. Congratulations to all the winners — and to every dachshund who successfully made it to the finish line!

Holiday Traditions: Christmas at Red Oak

November 2025 Photo Op Event

We kicked off the 2025 holiday season by opening our clinic doors for a special Christmas Photo Op! In November, we transformed the hospital into a festive wonderland, inviting our clients and their furry family members to stop by for a holiday portrait.

It was wonderful to see so many of our patients and clients all decked out in their holiday best. Events like these are our favorite way to slow down and celebrate the bond you share with your pets. We loved seeing the photos land on your holiday cards and sharing in the spirit of the season with our Bucyrus neighbors!

Halloween in the Community: Tricks, Treats, and Tails — The 2025 Tour

Spring Hill, Louisburg, & Paola, KS

At Red Oak Animal Hospital, we believe that being a neighbor means showing up where our clients live, play, and trick-or-treat! In October 2025, our team hit the road to participate in community festivals across Spring Hill, Louisburg, and Paola.

While we loved handing out candy, popcorn, and smiles, we also took the opportunity to do what we do best: educate. We enjoyed meeting families and their pets in a fun, low-pressure setting. Whether it was the Spring Hill Spooktacular or the Paola Halloween Parade, we were honored to be part of your family’s holiday traditions!

Heritage Park Horse Trials — Olathe, KS

Official Veterinary Sponsor & Event Veterinarian

Red Oak Animal Hospital is proud to be a long-standing sponsor and supporter of the Heritage Park Horse Trials in Olathe. As a practice deeply rooted in the equine world, we love seeing the dedication and athleticism of the horse-and-rider pairs who travel from across the region to compete at this premier USEA-recognized event.

Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship; Dr. Sutter frequently serves as the Official Event Veterinarian, ensuring the health and safety of every equine athlete on the grounds. We are honored to support the Mid-America Eventing Association and the vibrant equestrian community that makes this event a highlight of our year.

Other Local Horse Shows

Beyond Heritage Park, we’re regularly ring-side at horse shows across the region — supporting riders and horses on competition day.
